There is something seriously wrong with me, it seems no matter what is going on in my life lolcats can cheer me up ... I fear I may be a little simple.

This women is campaigning to have english spelling changed .. from what I can gather she wants us all to be 1337. :) Its a wonderful life.

What the hell is going on today? is the world conspiring to annoy me ? This morning has been a particularly stupid day for the news.

First you had some hippy liberal vegetarians on radio 4 talking about how much methane cows give out and how we should all become vegens and stop keeping livestock. Firstly, livestock is an important part of third world society. Secondly, meat tastes sooo good. Finally, soy milk tastes like partially digested rat droppings mixed with a hint of pure ming. Leave me and my meat alone you fucking twating bastards.

Al-Qaeda makes a threat to england based on the Salmon Rushdie knighthood... seriously what the fuck is that about? And what the hell is a "very precise response" to that? Is the Ayatollah going to give a knighthood to Cat Stevens? Are they going to sponsor a book which will have Gordon Brown's wife as a whore? For fuck sake people, this is not something to kill people for, you moronic wanking fuckwits.

And finally, "old people" parking bays.. seriously ..wtf? If your old and can't walk properly .. your fucking disabled .. use the fucking disabled parking. The fact they also have bump proof signs.. seriously if you can't fucking park properly .. don't fucking drive!!!

IF this day carries on like this I may have to kill something.

What can I say... It was good , it was over the top, it was ludicrous.. but sometimes during the film you just get the feeling that something about it wasn't quite right.
It could be that in this one McLane feels a little too indestructible, it could be the ridiculous spider jumping guy, it could be that the main bad guy just wasn't an alan rickman or jeremy irons or it could just be that Bruce's botox have left him incapable of showing the look of blind panic he seemed to have in all the other films :)

Though needless to say, I will be watching die hard again .. no action film will ever come close to the first Die Hard and for that matter non Christmas film either :)

What makes the world a better place, focus on society or on the individual?
It kinda seems to me that as a civilization we are becoming more globally focused. We worry about kids in africa, mental patients in romainia, global warming.. and more. Yet in someway I don't feel the world is better for it.
It seems to me that people are also more wary of the individual, saying "good morning" to some on your way to work gets you a strange look, offering to help someone struggling with something heavy makes you a freak, and going out of your way to help someone is never remembered.
Maybe it is just that way where i live, maybe it is still all "good morning"s and helping old ladies in villages or smaller communities. Either way I am sure in my childhood people were better, or maybe it is just that as a kid I was cuter :)
