Supervisor: Dr. Rob Kelsall

The thesis involved the development, testing and application of several ensemble Monte Carlo simulation algorithms used for modelling phonon transport in semiconductor materials.

The simulation methods were written in C++ and the data was analysed with tools written in Perl and Python.
