My thesis involved the development, testing and application of several ensemble Monte Carlo simulation algorithms used for modelling phonon transport in semiconductor materials.

The simulation methods were written in C++ and the data was analysed with tools written in Perl.

3rd year project:"Monte Carlo Simulations for electron transport in high performance semiconductors." This project used Monte Carlo methods to simulate the transport of electrons in strained Silicon and Silicon/Germanium alloys.
